I don't mind taking out my own trash but sheesh. I had to take out my own trash for three days. Getting clean towels or your bed made is another story all together. I'm not gonna go there except to say every housekeeper I encountered was friendly. I took one bite and the rest went in the trash that I had to take out myself because housekeeping must have thought it smelled so good. Cheese or Cici's for an 8th of the price. While you may be tempted by the pizza, for me it was a huge and expensive mistake. You'll find two maybe three viable options to choose from. Room service was timely, arriving within 30 minutes of the online order, but the food was horrible. Service is almost at the level you'd expect after dropping $400 a night. Beware of making any changes to your bookings, and double check your reservations/cancellations - you may get an unpleasant surprise. Very frustrated and disappointed to be paying so much money for a room I did not use and had cancelled in good faith with abundant notice. No amount of emails or phone calls have helped resolve this, and I'm now out $600. When I called the resort to sort it out, I was informed that my reservation had been made in two pieces as they were going to have me switch rooms part-way through my stay, and the second room hadn't been cancelled when I did the initial cancellation. I cancelled 6 weeks prior to the conference, but was still charged a single night as a no-show. I booked a room for the same convention in 2022, but due to CV19 decided to cancel my booking. Still, we had a good time and were willing to come back. The resort fees are on top of the room booking fees, and the amenities are all extra and quite pricey. I attended a convention at the Gaylord with three friend in 2020 and had a good time, although we did not get the room I booked (we'd booked a room with two queen beds and instead got a room with one king bed and were given two roll-out cots with a single blanket and pillow for each). Nice hotel, but over-priced with confusing protocols that may cost you hundreds of extra dollars.
